June 11, 2026, SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Reminiscent of Richard Linklater’s “Boyhood,” this lovely documentary chronicles the coming-of-age story of trans kid Adam, from infancy to his first day in college. The movie was filmed over the years by Adam and his supportive mother, and an effortless intimacy pervades the film. Like the caterpillar that becomes a butterfly at the family home, Adam naturally transitions before our eyes.
